Laser Hair Removal

Permanent hair removal with Alexandrite laser surpasses all other methods in both safety and effectiveness.

The number of required sessions varies depending on gender, skin color, hair quality, and the presence of possible hormonal disorders.

The destruction of hair follicles is irreversible after the required sessions, and the results of the treatment are permanent.

Both women and men can begin laser hair removal from adolescence without any concern, in order to eliminate unwanted hair early and achieve smooth, soft skin forever!

How laser hair removal works

Laser hair removalPermanent laser hair removal works by delivering energy to the pigment of the hair, which is then absorbed by the hair follicle. The heat produced destroys the follicle and stops hair growth. If the bulb is not completely destroyed, it becomes smaller and produces much finer hair, which is eliminated in subsequent treatments.

Laser hair removal is most effective in people with light skin and dark hair, as dark hair absorbs laser energy more efficiently. People with darker skin can also be treated, provided that their hair is darker than their skin. Light-colored hair in all skin types is very difficult to treat. Multiple sessions are required to reduce hair growth. The actual success rate is an overall reduction of up to 90%.

For the treatment, the area being treated must be shaved and clean. During the procedure, you will feel light pulses on the skin as the laser energy is absorbed by the hair follicles.

Treatment time varies depending on the size of the area and the specific technique used. A small area such as the upper lip may take only five minutes, while a larger area such as the back or legs may take up to one or two hours.

Applications of laser hair removal

Permanent laser hair removal is suitable for almost any area of the body where excessive hair growth exists, with the important exception of the sensitive eye area.

Because the laser targets multiple follicles at the same time, larger areas such as the back, arms, or legs are just as easily treated as smaller areas like the upper lip line and bikini area.

However, since laser technology targets hair based on color, blonde and gray hairs cannot be treated.

Procedure repetition

Normal hair goes through a growth cycle in three stages: the growth phase, the stable phase, and the transitional phase. During the first phase, hair is sensitive to laser energy, but during the other two phases it is resistant, making complete removal unlikely. Since laser treatment is effective only on hairs that are in the growth phase—and because not all hairs are in this stage at the same time—several sessions are required in order to effectively remove all hair from a given area.
