Laser Treatment for Leg Spider Veins

Spider veins that appear mainly on the thighs and calves are among the most common aesthetic concerns for both women and men.

The Nd:YAG laser available at the PROFILE Center is specifically designed for the treatment of spider veins on the legs (thighs and calves) up to 4 millimeters in diameter, as well as small (blue) veins. It is absolutely safe and does not cause marks or burns. The light emitted by the laser is absorbed exclusively by the blood within the vessels and, due to the generated heat, the vessel shrinks. The surrounding tissues and skin are not exposed to even minimal energy.

The laser is targeted and precise, does not cause thrombosis, whereas injectable treatments require a high level of skill from the vascular surgeon, as there is always the possibility of puncturing a vessel and causing a hematoma.

The treatment follows a specific protocol, with the ideal starting period being October. A total of 3–5 sessions are performed depending on the severity of the condition, with intervals of approximately 1.5 months between sessions.

The results are permanent, and the veins that have been eliminated never reappear.
