Chemical peels cause a controlled chemical burn of the stratum corneum of the epidermis, aiming at exfoliation and its replacement with new, healthier skin. They achieve skin regeneration, reduce the appearance of wrinkles, and offer a fresher look with fewer imperfections, dark spots, melasma, and discoloration.
They are recommended for skin preparation and cleansing prior to the application of other treatments and are ideally combined with all injectable treatments (fillers) and mesotherapy for enhanced results.
They are mainly applied to the face, hands, and décolleté. They are suitable for all skin types except very thin and dry skin.
At the PROFILE Center, the chemical peels applied include the Miami Peel, which acts on the superficial layer of the skin; the trichloroacetic acid (TCA) peel, which penetrates deeper into the middle layer of the skin; and the salicylic acid peel, which is ideal for acne-prone skin.
Chemical peeling treatment is recommended during the winter to avoid sun exposure of the exfoliated skin. It is suitable for both men and women. The treatment lasts approximately 30 minutes and includes stages of specialized skin cleansing and preparation, followed by layered application and mechanical enhancement of substance absorption according to specific protocols.
In addition to chemical peels, at the PROFILE Center we also apply microcrystal peeling (dermabrasion).
